i wore: pink and hotter pink

my mother’s day outfit got a good many compliments at the brunch we attended – most of them came from the under 8 age group…those girls love them some pink.

i love this shirt – it’s jcrew and i waited forever for it to go on sale.

excuse my little lag on posting – i’ve been back south tending to wedding details.

so, you’ll never believe where i got this dress – oh, forever 21. i love the shape of the dress +  it’s great under a blazer or solo.

also, my new little beaded bracelet – oh, found that at pier 1 – right?! who knew.

i wore: stripes and dots @ chicago’s nike training club

i was beyond excited when i was invited to help style some looks at nike’s new women’s studio and store – a club if you will: nike training club in chicago.

to style myself – i went with my trusted pattern mixing:

how great is this space? if you are in chicago, it’s a must check-out. the clothes are amazing and as soon as left i wanted to workout.

photo-46

i’ve been wearing black-on-black workout wear for a bit now, i think it’s time to add some pattern and pops of colors.

gold shoes? yes, please.

and here’s the looks i styled with nikia from chi town fashionista. we were assigned “a day at the beach, followed by castaways” (a beach bar in chicago).

we went monochromatic with a gray sweat suit and a white bikini top + woven nikes; the necklace was my own – she needed a little something.

her partner in crime is in an outfit i snatched up – ombre’ish nike sunset leggings, which i love. oh and they work, they are sweat-wicking. the shoes are amazing – i’m wearing them now and was already stopped twice today with ‘where did you get those?’; oh – here.

all in all a great event and so much fun. if you’re in chicago stop by the nike training club, 833 w armitage; our looks will be displayed soon. they obviously have amazing pieces and free classes in the studio up stairs – just sign up on their facebook page.

bonus – we’re arranging a private and free class for unicorn stylings folks! check back in for details, and to see how i styled my new nike gear.

origins of the outfit: pants – j crew (on sale now); shirt – j crew; shoes – zara; scarf – missoni; arm stack – vintage, vintage, j crew; necklace – bannan republic.

i wore: restyled for spring

one of my fav dresses right now – it’s a fab option for pattern mixing.

i went without tights & added a belt, a brighter armstack, and a paisley spring’ish shirt.

new pastel bracelets for arm stacking – i have a major addiction to the h clic clac, which must stop….soon. i balanced it out with a super affordable teal bracelet from www.2hellobeautiful.com/shop/ - they are still giving friends of unicornstylings a deal!

enter UNICORN for $5 off a $10 + purchase.
