just sayin’: green wedding shoes
our cute little engagement session was featured on green wedding shoes! it’s one of my favorite wedding blogs, so we were beyond flattered when our photographers said they were selecting us for a feature.
here’s a pic of us in our wardrobe change. i got this dress from one of my favorite vintage stores in austin, tx – feathers. i had it altered, but could never figure out where to wear it – boom, engagement pictures.
we went with a white, black, and red theme , so it was perfect!
i decorated: the cutest gender neutral nursery ever – $250
we may be biased, but this nursery is for the cutest bundle of joy EVER. a close gal pal in chicago is bringing the first baby into our circle of friends. now, we were on a budget, but this little one certainly deserves the finest in baby accommodations.
i’m just going to go with the reveal today and follow-up with all the juicy details tomorrow: where we got everything, and how we reused and made of few items. isn’t it adorable?!

just sayin’: bridesmaid dresses
it’s a wedding post!
remember once upon a time when i found the most perfect bridesmaid dresses and thought it was too good to be true…well, it was. but, this time we’re for real.
after a blunder with trying to buy off the rack, we’re using weddington way. it’s basically the facebook of bridesmaid dress shopping. you pick a dress or two, add it to your showroom – and then invite your bridal party to view, discuss, and like. not only is it free, but the dresses i picked we’re about $50 less through weddington way!
here’s what we’re going with:

love me some pinterest, but sometimes it turns into a graveyard of images i forget to check on. here’s 4 things i promise to wear in the next week (or so)

i made all the arrangements with whole foods flowers, and used big baby breath clusters (very on trend) + 2 ivy plants to stay on budget; spent only $50 on all of the floral.
so there you have it – i think our hard work paid off! the results were adorable, if i do say so myself and i think we pulled-off a chic, gender-less non-baby, baby shower. how’s that for a description?!
